Kelsey smith, why is she such a hot topic?

first off, not to sound insensitive or disrespectful to the family and friends. im very sorry to hear about her mysterious death. im sure she was a great girl and will truly be missed. But why is she all over the news lately? is she like the daughter of someone famous/powerful? hundreds of kids go missing everyday, why is she more important than others? why does she get all this publicity? my condolences to those who are grieving.
