Does a 2007 Ford focus with a Salvaged title need a smog check for Registration even though its 3 years old ?

I just purchased the car and it runs great. Since it’s a change in ownership and the car is 3 years old I heard that a smog check is not needed. But my only concern is that it’s a salvaged title and before I go to the DMV office and wait in line for hours, I want to make sure I don’t need the smog check certification or rather I do. Can anyone help me?
