Do i need to take a physics course in high school to go to a UC school?
To the UC eligible, you must complete two years (three years recommended) of laboratory science in two different areas selected from: biology, chemistry, physics. If you are not interested in science, you can simply complete the 2-year requirement and focus your energy on taking courses in other a-g subjects. HS counselors tend to push math/science heavy curriculum, but that is not the only way to the UCs. Students who take on heavy loads in arts, humanities, or social studies are just as competitive.
